Facility Model Production by Scoop with 3DM Resin : ATI Korea AccuSizer Mini LE(2018)

3D printing service company 'Scoop' has produced a facility model-ATI Korea AccuSizer Mini LE.

Due to the fact that the facility model was for exhibition entry, it has been scaled to 500mm. Which is approximately the half size of the real object.

Various techniques has been used for the model and one of them was of course, 3D printing.

The 3D printed parts for the model has been printed by resin printers using 3DMaterials(3DM) water washable resin.

3DM resin has a great advantage for post processing. Large amount of parts has been finished by sanding, cleaning and other professional methods.

Pantone color has been used as a reference in order to paint the 3d printed models with the most similar color.

After painting and drying, it was time to dig in for assembling!

By simply setting the tablet and the cover at the appropriate area, it was ready to travel for overseas exhibition!

Creating Summoners War Diorama with Zerone and 3DM water washable resin

There are many ways in creating 3D art masterpiece.

Sculpting could be a great technique but sometimes 3D printing may be practical in many ways such as saving time or expressing delicate details.

Speaking of 3D printing, that's exactly how this diorama was created.

Many 3D printing methods exist today, and one of them is called DLP(Digital Light Processing). 

DLP prints out the 3D model by curing layer to layer in each second using the DLP Projector.

Parts for the Summoners War diorama was printed with a massive DLP printer named 'Zerone', which is appropriate for large sized prints that can print up to 500mm(19.6 inch), and the material for it was 3DM water washable resin.

The purpose for creating the diorama was for display at 2018 Com2us Summoners War World Championship(SWC 2018 World Finals). 

The details and visuals were enough to hold the crowds attention and fortunately, the display was successful.

Basic Properties of 3DM Water Washable Standard Resin and More

3DM Standard Resin consists of 5 colors. Amber, Black, Clear, Gray and White.

3DMaterials Standard Resins are optimized for LCD and low power laser curing system. It has an absorption profile which show maximum absorption around 395nm-405nm so that it requires only 12.0 mJ/cm2 to start curing. This unique high absorption at long wavelength enables various 3D printers to print complicated structures with details.

LCD DLP printer is one of the emerging new 3d printing technology using a LCD panel as an image projection and UV LED as curing light source.

3DM Standard Resin D&P series are optimized for LCD DLP system. The series allow extremely high resolution for 3D printing objects at high speed with 35μm resolution.

'Water Cleanable' is what makes 3DMaterials resin unique. The technology allows all resins for 3D printing to be cleaned with water and soap. 

This feature allows users eliminate Iso-propanol(IPA) washing process which requires proper ventilation system and extra cost associated with the handling chemicals.

By gently brushing and rubbing the printed objects, in a bowl or running water, will be cleaned thoroughly.
