ZERONE, Stable and Efficient DLP 3D Printer for Large Sized Prints

Printing large sized objects without cutting the model may not work out for DLP 3D printers.

But with ZERONE, your 'large thoughts will become solid'.

This DLP printer comes with the size of 600mm x 500mm x 1790mm (W x D x H), giving you an amazing print size of 380mm x 210mm x 500mm (14.96 inch x 8.26 inch x 19.6 inch, X*Y*Z).

XY resolution : 100 micron

Layer Thickness : Typ. 100um (min. 25um)

Printing Method : DLP, Top-Down

Materials : UV resin

'Top-Down' is what makes this printer so stable and efficient for 3D printing. For those who are familiar with DLP will know the difference easily from the 'Bottom-Up' method but for those who are not, visit the link down below.

ZERONE is controlled independently with a 7 inch touch display, and an USB Memory. And for the slicing program, Creation Workshop is compatible.

But if you are not used to using Creation Workshop, any software that can generate PNG files are available so keep that in mind!

All of the pictures of the 3D printed objects are resin printed with 3DM water washable resin.

3DMaterials water washable Clear for Duplicator 7

There are times when you need to work with lights and make sure the light exposes through your model or visualize the internal features.

Good news, the glassy surface of 3DMaterials(3DM) water washable Clear is perfect for those situations!

This clear anatomy was printed in Duplicator 7(1.5) with 3DM Clear.

The size of it is about 58x58(mm) and 132mm tall,

and took approximately 17 hours 55 minutes and 18 seconds to print.

Creation Workshop will be the slicing program for your Duplicator 7.

Options can be modified at Configure - Configure Slicing Profile.

-3DM Clear Guideline for Duplicator 7(1.5)-

Slice Thickness(mm) : 0.030

Exposure Time(ms) : 4000

Bottom Exposure(ms) : 45000

Also, when things don't seem to go right,

slowing down the speed can help you print successfully.

Higher the number, faster the print.

Not always, but sometimes the fast speed can cause the printing process to fail.

Helpful Guidelines for using Duplicator 7 with 3DM Water Washable Resin

There are times when 3D printing gets frustrating and one of the reason is caused by the resin profile for the printer you are using.

On this post, guidelines for using Duplicator 7 with 3DMaterials water washable resins will be shared.

1. 3DM White(DW-06)

This Triceratops is from Thingiverse(Search Triceratops) and took approximately 14 hours to print. The layer thickness was set to 0.035mm(35um). 6,000ms(6 seconds) for the layer exposure and 46,000ms(46 seconds) for the bottom exposure with total of 5 bottom layers.

If you want the object to be smoothly printed, 3DM White may be the best choice.

2. 3DM Clear(DC-05)

3D printed Zeratul from Starcraft(search zeratul at myminifactory)! This was actually printed at 50um, 8seconds. But if you prefer more thin layers try 30um at 4seconds.

Layer Thickness : 0.030mm
Exposure Time : 4,000ms

Bottom Exposure : 50,000ms(45,000-50,000ms)

Bottom Layers : 5

If you need light to complete your 3d printed model, 3DM Clear will be needed.

3. 3DM Gray(DG-10)
If your planning to use materials such as red putties and primers because the after process is so important and you need the surfaces perfect as can be, using 3DM Gray is the best way for searching flaws before any after process. Also, the best way to save your time!

Layer Thickness : 0.035mm
Exposure Time : 6,500ms

Bottom Exposure : 46,000ms(45,000-46,000ms)

Bottom Layers : 5

4. 3DM Amber(DA-03), Design credits to MJ Kim, MJ Miniatures(https://www.facebook.com/mjminiatures)
And last but not least, 3DM Amber, the unique resin with beautiful color. There are more to this resin besides being beautiful to the eye- the faster curing speed. In other words, faster printing.

If you need high quality of details and faster speed, 3DM Amber will definately help.
0.030mm for the layer thickness, 3,800ms for the exposure time. Bottom Exposure 45,000ms with 5 layers.

Before ending this post, I want to remind you that this is only a 'guideline' to help prevent failing your print. Customize your settings exact or similar by increasing or decreasing the numbers given above for greater quality.

Hope this helps! Enjoy your print!

Ball Jointed Doll Printed with 3DM water washable Gray

This is a 3D printed face of a ball jointed doll with a LCD 3D printer.

Those that are surrounding and 'holding' the 2 parts of the face are the support materials that helps the object to be printed successfully.

Support materials can be removed easily by hand or tools like small and thin nippers. Using delicate tools are the best way to preserve the details of the printed object.

Resins usually have to be cleaned with IPA. Something you do not want to touch or smell. While the 3DMaterials water washable resins can be cleaned with only water.

Which is the best part of the cleaning process. Also, cleaning the resin tank or the building plate with water also comes handy.

3DM Grey resins are perfect for general purpose of prototyping and designing since it makes searching for flaws of the printed object more simple and easy.

The imperfect surface can be cleaned by filling in the flaws with putties, sanding and spraying primers.

sand it, spray primer, sand, spray until you feel satisfied with the surface.

This beautiful face of the doll is designed and retouched by Ha Young Bae.
